real estate marketing lists. Note that almost every list can be
classified as either a response list or a compiled list.
Compiled Postal, Telemarketing & Fax
Lists
Compiled mailing & telemarketing lists are made up of names & addresses
derived from telephone books, directories, public records, etc. Those on the
list have not necessarily responded to any offers. These lists are often used
to reach an entire market (for example, all the architects in a specific county
or state). You can choose your list by type of business (SIC Code). Compiled
lists include company names and addresses. Executive contact names, phone
numbers, fax numbers, sales volume and more are available for an additional
charge.
Permission Based Email Lists
Permission based email lists are selectable by type
of business, but differ from other types of lists in that the list itself stays
in possession of the list owner. The potential mailer provides the list owner
with the HTML or text he would like emailed out to the list, complete with
links to the mailer's website. After testing to and receiving approval from the
mailer, the list owner or service bureau blasts the message out to the email
addresses on the list, providing the mailer information about how many
recipients opened the email and how many clicked through to the mailer's
website.
Response Lists
Response mailing & telemarketing lists are made up of people
who have a record of responding to direct mail from catalogs, card decks,
internet sites, magazines, trade shows and professional journals. There are
more than 43,000 different response lists to choose from. Response lists each
containing different types of responders.everything from subscribers to a
specialized trade magazines, to trade show attendees, to buyers of a particular
type of product or service, to members of an organization, and many other
possibilities.
Business to business response lists come complete with contact name and title
and are used when you want to reach proven direct responders to maximize sales
of your products or services. The professionals who are on response lists have
a proven track record of responding to direct mail and internet offers. In
addition, knowing what their interests and past history are will help you to
choose a list that focuses on your very best prospects and makes selling
easier.
Pricing runs anywhere from $80 per thousand to $400 per thousand depending on
the list. The average list price running approximately $120 per thousand names.
Most response lists have a 5,000 minimum name order.
